How We Do It
We build in this stage to all client engagements to ensure that they are able to review and take stock of our findings and to understand the context of any proposed solutions.
C.S. Lewis wrote: “We all want progress, but if you’re on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive.”
We set out only facts and present any gaps or elements which require further clarification due to uncertainties. This allows our client to reframe their objectives if necessary or to redirect us if that is more appropriate. In this way we can ensure that there is always clarity of purpose in our work and that the processes we follow are transparent and hold no surprises for our client.
This review is particularly beneficial if there is a great deal of complexity, a large number of stakeholders, or political uncertainty associated with the assignment. It will address the overall health of the work effort and establish if everything is on track and most importantly for the client, reveal issues which may not have been known previously, but which have a significant bearing on the proposed outcomes.
We contend that this necessary and vital step must take place before we move the client to consideration of any potential solutions and it ensures that we are deliver the level of quality that meets their expectations.
